PLEASURE
Pleasure in the unity with the other in
loving sex, in the you-me, mine-yours, of loving sex, is painful for its
intensity is so brief, and because it withers away in the inevitable separation
of the lovers.
Pleasure survives in the absence of pleasure, in the immediate emergence of desire, the pleasure of remembering and longing, and the knowledge that it may return... or may not.
